Batavia Air plan to make Singapore as a hub flight

Batavia Air management has taken a ‘brave’ step by making Singapore as their hub flights to connect cities in Indonesia. The plan was informed by the Director of Public Relations Batavia Air Edy Haryanto on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of Semarang-Singapore route, Wednesday (25/11) in Semarang.

According to Edy Haryanto, Batavia Air also open a flight route from Jakarta to Singapore starting 25 November 2009. Next year, the new route which will open are Surabaya-Singapore and Denpasar-Singapore. If this happens then Singapore will be a knot Batavia Air flights in several cities in Indonesia. "It is possible we will open representative offices in Singapore greater," said Edy.

Until today, Singapore still a favorite destination for the airline in Indonesia. Besides Batavia Air, several major airlines in Indonesia, such as Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Sriwijaya Air, and Indonesia AirAsia, have opened flight routes to Singapore.
