Air Asia X : Sales Target 1 Billion U.S. Dollar

Airline AirAsia X is targeting expansion of sales to one billion U.S. dollars at the endof 2010, although the global economy is slowing. AirAsia X is a subsidiary airline AirAsia, which serves the flight distance.

"After two years of operation, next year, our sales will reach one billion ringgit or 276 million U.S. dollars," said Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X Azran Osman Rani, on Monday (24/11).

Until the end of this year, AirAsia X flying to Gold Coast, Perth, Melbourne (Australia), and Hangzhou in China, will post sales up to 362 million ringgit.

"From the end of this year until 2013, we will be flying to 30 new routes, in line received 25 aircraft Airbus A330-300," said Azran. It is said that AirAsia X expects flying to five cities in Australia, 4-5 cities in China, 3-4 cities in India, 1-2 cities in Korea, and 2-3 in the cities of Japan and the Middle East.

According to Azran, AirAsia X has made Southeast Asia, as cities in Australia and India, countries with the Far East, such as China, Korea, and Japan.
